As previously communicated, the Town Council has been exploring how we could potentially manage the estate rent charge because this would give us full local control of costs and contractual performance management as well as a reduction of management layers.

In August, the Council decided to proceed on the basis that the estate rent charge could be subsumed into the council tax. This would eliminate the cost for money collections because the council tax is collected by East Devon District Council and it would reduce the costs for liability insurance as well as legal and professional fees.

Today we are publishing two documents which explain the proposed move in detail which are attached to this post. Please do get in touch with us if you have any questions via email
