NEW WELLBEING BOOKS FOR CRANBROOK’S LIBRARY

22nd May 2017

Residents of Cranbrook can now borrow a range of books which support adult mental wellbeing. The 30 new books are available from the library which is based in the Computer Suite at the Younghayes Centre and have been bought by Cranbrook Healthy Town (as part of a national scheme run by the Reading Agency to help support mental wellbeing).

Valued at around £360, they cover common mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, phobias and some eating disorders.

The books can be recommended by GPs, other health professionals or can just be chosen by individuals and have been funded by East Devon District Council via NHS England’s Healthy New Towns programme.
