21st May 2018

A number of residents have expressed an interest in volunteering to help with this event and we now have some more information for you:

Any volunteers wanting to be directly involved with the Tour of Britain itself (i.e. not specifically with the Cranbrook stage) can apply via the ToB’s general website

Anyone wanting to help with the race start at Cranbrook on 3 September can express an interest by emailing the Town Council on with your contact details and information about your expertise and experience. Volunteers are likely to be needed for various roles such as setting up the event village set (early in the morning, putting up gazebos, tables etc), acting as volunteer marshals, acting as welcomers at certain points in Cranbrook (to inform the public about the event) and at the race start (helping staff the procession, handing out flags etc). Other volunteering roles may be available.
