Emergency Planning
Whilst they are rare, an emergency can affect a community significantly in a number of ways from relatively low-level disruption to road, rail, or air transport networks, through to events resulting in damage to homes, businesses or community buildings and, very rarely, incidents involving injury or loss of life.
Nearly all emergencies affecting Cranbrook would normally be dealt with by a joint response from the emergency services, local authorities and utility companies. In extreme conditions however, such as heavy snow or flooding, there is a possibility that emergency services would not be able to reach the scene immediately.
In such circumstances, the initial response might rely entirely on local people so your Town Council has developed an Emergency Plan both to help Cranbrook prepare for an emergency and to reduce its impact.
